Annual Pass
Temporary Closure: January–March 2026
Aalborg Zoo will be temporarily closed in January, February, and March 2026 due to Aalborg Municipality’s sewer separation project. To minimize inconvenience, all work will be gathered into one period, allowing the zoo to reopen in full bloom for spring.
What does this mean for you as an annual pass holder or someone considering buying an annual pass?
If you have a valid annual pass during part or all of the closure period, you will be able to choose one of the following compensations:
1) Compensation package with free admission to:
North Sea Ocenarium (10/1–31/3)
Randers Rainforest (10/1–31/3)
Kunsten Museum of Modern Art (2/1–31/1)
Springeren (2/1–31/3) + 10% discount in the shop
(Valid only with a valid annual pass)
2) Extension of the annual pass by 3 months
The pass will be extended by the number of days your annual pass is active in Jan–Mar.
How do I choose?
All annual pass holders will receive an email on December 3rd where they can freely choose between the compensation package and the extension of the annual pass. Annual passes purchased or renewed after this date will of course receive the same options when activating the pass.

We will refund today's ticket if you buy an annual pass at the exit.
With an annual pass you have free admission to Aalborg Zoo
all year round, including Halloween and Christmas at the Zoo.
With an annual pass you get a 10% discount in all Aalborg Zoo's restaurants, kiosks and in the ZooShop
