Annual Pass

Temporary Closure: January–March 2026

Aalborg Zoo will be temporarily closed in January, February, and March 2026 due to Aalborg Municipality’s sewer separation project. To minimize inconvenience, all work will be carried out during one period, allowing the zoo to reopen in full bloom in the spring.

What does this mean for you as an annual pass holder or if you’re considering buying one?

If you have a valid annual pass during part or all of the closure period, you can choose one of the following compensation options:

1. Compensation package with free admission to:

• North Sea Oceanarium (10 Jan – 31 Mar)

• Randers Rainforest (10 Jan – 31 Mar)

• Kunsten Museum of Modern Art (2 Jan – 31 Jan)

• Springeren – Maritime Experience Centre (2 Jan – 31 Mar) + 10% discount in the shop
  (Valid only with a valid Aalborg Zoo annual pass)

2. Extension of your annual pass by 3 months
   Your pass will be extended by the number of days it is active during January–March.

How do I choose?

All annual pass holders will receive an email on December 3rd with the option to choose either the compensation package or an extension of the pass.
Annual passes purchased or renewed after this date will naturally receive the same options when the pass is activated.
